Sustainability should not be reserved for specialists. I spend much of my professional life helping organisations explain sustainability information.

Occasionally, I also enjoy explaining sustainability itself.

 

Over the years, I have delivered guest lectures, workshops, corporate training sessions, and conference presentations on ESG, governance, stakeholder engagement, reporting, assurance, and sustainability strategy.

While regulations and terminology continue to evolve, many of the underlying questions remain surprisingly familiar:

• How do businesses create value?

• Who benefits from that value?

• Who bears the costs?

• How should organisations be held accountable?

 

These are conversations worth continuing — both inside and outside the boardroom.
